Personally, i would try a light grinding with a dremel, then sanding,
starting with 100 and working my way up to 500 or 600 grit wet, then
buffing (again with that handy dremel), then applying a really light
coat or two of aluminum lacquer with an air brush.  I had a friend try
this out on my BBS rims on my old BMW, before he did his own. (mine were
old and scarred, and i didn't really care if he fucked it up).  He did
an amazing job (though it took him 4 days), and it was the only piece of
the wheel that looked good.  

I wouldn't try it if it was a deep gouge, but it sounds to me as if
you've just scrapped it a bit.  The work MAY be worth it.  I dunno what
the "BBS Inspired" rims are worth, but if you have the time and
inclination, you may want to actully try fixing it first.  Esp. if you
think you're just going to toss the scratched rims anyway.  Nothing to
lose but a little bit of time, right?
