I don't believe there is supposed to be any light in the glove-box.
Is your heated seat light not working?  I have a '98 GLX with
a working heated seat light.  It should illuminate the picture
of the heated seat and the number closest to you.  I'd often wonder
why the glove-box wasn't lit up, unlike my ashtray!!!

Not sure about the mirror.  I would just have them check it out
and maybe take the mirror cover off and see if anything could cause
it to be stuck.

Are you really selling your car because your Saab performs better
in the winter?  Or are there other reasons?  Why not keep the GLX,
sell the Saab, and buy a set of nice snow tires with the money...  :)
