Sounds like some easy code to write (bypass) in the chips of the ECU.
I'm sure that with the proper motivation there will be lots of chips out
there removing these features. Although all of this about ODB3 is
theorhetically possible, think of the amount of computer
support/infrastructer required to track a few hundred thousand/millions
of automobiles...who would keep/maintain this information? Anyways, this
is scary sounding.....
