RE: head unit, tires

Mark, I have to agree with you about hearing the difference between
current stock units and aftermarket. Unless your car has the 250w
Lexus-Nakamichi deluxe, you can do better. FWIW, I am 33, have ok
hearing, but have always plugged my ears in clubs and at concerts, so I
can still appreciate 'hearing' quality audio.

I replaced the unit in a Honda with the Eclipse 5331 in-dash CD ($329,
now revised, at Myer-Emco and MAS in Woodbridge), one of the best I have
heard out there, a flatter and smoother response than the harsher
Alpine. Ergonomically pretty well designed, not too many buttons, and
has a special security feature instead of a detachable face. No lugging
around the thing. For those not aware, you choose one of your CD's and
program it in. If power is cut, the unit requires that CD before
operating. When a shop calls Eclipse for service, your theft report is
checked and the thief is busted if he returns. The system has been out
for several years and you get stickers for the windows identifying the
Eclipse feature. Plus dealer installed units have a 1 year free theft
replacement and 3 year warranty.

For tires, you might want to consider the Dunlop SP4000 A/S, an upgrade
from the D60A2, and still pretty cheap at the Tire Rack or NTB.

Hello George A., sorry I missed you before you left the meeting. I was
the one wearing a green shirt and drove the silver 325is, NOT the other
Asian in the slammed white Integra with black wheels.
