I be Gettin a Jetta GLX

Hey out there all you cool VW owners.

  In the next month I will be turning 21, (oh yeah) and I will be
getting my first VW.
  I plan on ordering a '98 Jetta GLX white w/black leather.
  The dealer I am currantly arguing price with seems to be an ok guy. 
Though I am not too sure if he is giving me a good deal.
  What do you all think..

  This will be a lease.
  It will be a '98 Jetta GLX w/evey option but the 6 disk changer.

  He says that the going price will be 23k, he wants 1k down, first
months payment($300), security deposit($325), and an Aquasition fee? (I
think that is what he called it) of about $600.
  This will be the first lease that I have ever done, so I'm not too
sure if these costs are absoluty un-avoidable.  He says though that this
will put my payment right at $300@month, which is were I need it.

  Oh and my lease term will be 36 months w/12k miles a year, but I will
pay the extra to have 15k a year.
  Though I wonder if 15k miles will actually be needed if I plan on
getting into another lease when this one is up.  
  Does anyone know if the dealer will atack you if your miles are over
the 12k a year, and you plan on leasing a new car?
 
  One other question.  I'm not too worried about the relibility of a VW,
(I've herd some horror stories).  It can't be worse than the Dodge Neon
I currantly own.  I was wondering if someone could give me a run down of
the most comon quirks that the Jetta may have?
