hours to detail

hi all chris collier here,

since everyone found it newsworthy to bring us all up to speed on how
long they spent detailing their cars, i thought i would add my $.02;

i spent 4 hours today, detailing the engine compartment of my vr6;

there was plenty of factory undercoating all over the engine bay; and i
have been saying that i would get around to it, well today i did;

armed with a bottle of No. 7 tar and bug remover, and a handfull of rags
i went at the compartment with a vengence;

i WON too, the results were amazing; i didn't know that there was a VIN
number in the windage tray area;(under enough undercoating there is)

i am proud to say that i am happier with the clean look of the
compartment and now i don't end up with a sleeve full of goo, everytime
i reach into the engine.

that is all
