AFTERMARKET CD PLAYER

Hi GLX fans...
I have a 97 LX and I got it with EVERY OPTION except the CD player. I though
that it was outrageous to pay THAT much for one. You can get a great
quality, 6 CD changer, FM coupled SHERWOOD for $205 from DAMARK. 

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket which can plug right into the
factory stereo and uses its CD controlling capability? I know the factory
optional one is made by Clarion, but don't know if it is custom made for
VWs. I mean, can I buy one and hook it up to the existing stereo (and have
the existing stereo control it!!!) like the factory optional one?

I bet it's a bitch to install!
