There was a little article about this exact topic in European Car a few   
months ago. I can not remember the exact month, but maybe someone else on   
the list can help you out with that. As I remember there are two   
manufactures on the disk changer for VW, Panasonic and Clarion. This EC   
article tells you how to tell which one will work with your car and also   
gives you some other info about it.
