RE: PAINT

The paint absolutely sucks on the car. We just have to live with it. I have
a 96 GLX and just turned over 30k today. I have so many chips and scratches
on it. I have yet to wax it, but I keep it very clean. Last year when I was
travelling, I left the car parked in my complex and one of the neighborhood
rug rats decided to use my driver front quarter panel as a soccer ball and
dented the shit out of it. The body shop had a terrible time repainting it.
Took them 4 times to get it right (after replacing the whole panel) Then my
moulding strips started falling off. Now wouldn't you know, driving down the
highway the other day a rock flew up and chipped that new quarter panel. Took
a nice sized chunk out of the paint. Anyway, I purchased a while ago touch up
paint from the dealer and plan to touch up the spots as soon as I find the
time to give it a nice wax job. Anybody have a good suggestion on what wax to
use? And how to apply the touch up paint?

See ya! Grace (2psychos@msn.com)

I don't think it's you....

I was a little clumsy with my keys, and noticed I put a hairline scratch in
the paint right by the door lock. Doh!

Does anyone here have any recommendations on how I can improve the
condition of the paint? I didn't get any special paint protection package
from my dealer, and am reconsidering now.

About two weeks ago, some jerk put a paint mar on my passenger door. No
ding, fortunately, but left a mark on my door. Bastards. They didn't even
leave a note. Probably driving a Geo Metro piece of crap where my door
costs more than their car.

Otherwise, I've been having little to zero problems with the car, except I
still haven't figured out exactly how the floormat clip is supposed to work
for the floormats for my car.
