Hello ladies & gentlemen,
I recently got my Euro headlight switch & bridge/jumper for my
97 Jetta GLX and am ready to install it. How does one pull out
the stock headlight switch? Also, since I don't have the dual-
headlight setup like on the GTi-VR6s, I supposedly can have only
the following combinations:
foglights & parking lights
foglights, parking lights & low beam
foglights, parking lights & high beam
The above combos are fine with me. My biggest fear is shorting
out a component, since I failed to get instructions on where
to put the bridge on the relay panel that will allow me to use
the above-mentioned combos and if I have to pull out any addl
relays (I already pulled out #173 to kill the DRL feature -
Kevin, it also killed the e-handbrake light on mine). If anyone
has installed their own headlight switch and would like to share
that info, I'd be grateful if you could email me ;-) The parts
guy at Timmons was kinda vague with instructions.
This is what it cost me to get the Euro headlight switch & bridge:
