RE: VR6 Oil filters

To be honest with you, spend the extra few bucks and go with the VW VR6
Filter. The cost of getting something shipped to and from South Africa is
unbelievably high. I am an int'l sales rep for a software manufacturer &
South Africa is part of my territory. I'll ask my contacts there and next
time I am there (which hopefully will be soon because it is awesome there)
I'll see what I can find!
VRROOOM!

     Hi-
Predicament: VR6 oil filter for '95 motor 17.25 at dealer.
Question: Does anyone make an aftermarket filter that fits, is of
       decent quality? That is affordable?
I have seen one made by WIX. It looks right but I haven't tryed one
to see if it actually fits AND are they any good? They are made in
South Africa (is it Politically Correct to buy goods from them now?)

     Thanks for your help.
