Shipping US -> Can

Fellow Canucks,

When ordering accessories for your VW from our neighbours to the
south, have you ever had to pay GST, Duty, and Brokerage?  I am to
receive something via UPS ground and I was informed that I have to
pay this stuff.

The dragon-lady at UPS that I spoke to said that brokerage is only
charged for packages crossing the border via ground.  If this is the 
case, next time, I'll pay the extra for air delivery.

Anyone had experience with this?
