There are a few people manufacturing kits for the VR6. It is more complex
that the 2.0 which is a quick swap under the hood (1/2 hour max.). You need
to replace the entire shifter box with a remanufactured one which also
requires dropping your exhaust.

Neuspeed (www.neuspeed.com) makes a kit and Air & Water VW makes another
(email: AWE16VR6@aol.com). The final result is about a 50% reduction in throw.

If you go for it, let me know which one you choose and how it works out. I
have not done it because of the price.
