Re: VW door noise
Taken from another message posted, this is the noise I was battling
over on the rear door in a Jetta GLX.
"The first one would most likely be coming from the door's rubber seal
between it and the body. You can see it along the outer frame of the door when
it's open. This noise, generated by the door and the body of the car rubbing
against each other, should one: only be heard
when the door is shut, and two: most likely only when the body is flexing
while the car is moving."
In the door jam is the brassy colored pin that the door latches onto when
closing. It is held on by 2 bolts (Torx head). When thes bolts are
loosened the pin is allowed to slide side to side and up and down. By
moving this pin one can change how close in the door is held to the body or
it's up and down placement. This effects how the rubber seals on the car
body seal with the metal on the car door frame (where the rubbing, squeak
comes from).

hey andrew... I am not too sure what you said... can you tell me in more
details? I had the neuspeed suspension on my car for a month now, and I
guess that's what gets the noise from the door.
where exactly should I look into, where exactly is that?
u think the dealer would blame it on my suspension if I take it in and
have them fix?
pls reply back , thanks... need help here...
