tinted blinkers

hi all, chris collier here,

i tried an interesting experiment yesterday and i thought that i would
share the results with you;

went to the local vw dealer and got the covers for the fog
light/blinkers;( a thin piece of plastic that snaps on)

then i went to the local go-fast shop and got a can of "tint in a can"; 

i put the covers on the car and marked where the fog lights are, removed
them and taped of the section in front of the fog lights;

i then back sprayed the lens cover with the tint, let it wash around in
the cover, and poured out the excess; i repeated this step several times

i then let them sit the recommended 8 hours, until this morning; i
removed the tape, wiped down the excess with hybond reducer, and
proceeded to put them on the car

up close, they look...ok; there is "lint" in the tint; faint darker line
where the edge of the tape was;

from anywhere around 2' and further back, they look really nice; i would
recommend this as an inexpensive blinker tint; you also pick -up the
added safety of lens covers, ie, rocks, road debris

i was really surprised at the end all results, very very nice

if anyone needs any further details let me know, i would be more than
happy to share my experiences, strength, and hopes.
