Plan for getting Barry

I watched Barry last night and a little the other night and boy was I 
impressed. It also helped reinforce what Danny's vision is and his eye for talent. 
Barry was the quarterback on the floor directing the play during the play. He 
was very creative making some awesome passes. He didn't shoot much because I 
guess his fingers were bothering him. But we already knew he has great range. I 
had seen him play in college and was impressed by his passing back then. 
However, he has taken it to another level. Yes, he will be weak defensively but he 
won't be playing the conventional point guard role. But he had 10 assists in 
the first half last night. He would be the point two guard. Banks would bring up 
the ball and play the D on the opposing better player at the one or two. 
Banks would be the penetrator and Barry would run the rest of the offensive show. 
It would be a great combination.

Barry reinforces what Danny is looking for. He is looking for guys who can 
make plays and think on the floor. Barry is responsible for Seattle's turnaround 
like Chucky was responsible for our turnaround. But the key now is getting 
him.

First, Danny has already done a lot of work wooing Barry by trying to trade 
for him and talking to his agent about future contracts. I believe Barry is 
interested in Boston with their previous tradition. But Danny will have to do the 
same sell job he did attempted to do with Karl Malone

We have to get Barry to insist on coming to Boston. He is an old-school guy 
and with his roots deep enough into NBA lore with his Dad, it is possible that 
he could buy into the Celtic Pride and all that. So Danny would have to sell 
Barry into his vision and how he could be a key part of that and a Celtic 
return to glory. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Barry, with his roots, may 
be one of the few.

So here is the deal where we could have our cake and eat it too. First, we 
get Barry to agree to come to us with the MLE. I believe Seattle will offer more 
money but Barry has to say he will only sign with Boston like Miller did with 
the Kings. We would to catch a break here folks. WE ARE DUE!  Then, Danny 
offers to trade a number one, Stewart and Hunter for resigned Barry at 6 million 
a year in a Miller to the Kings like deal so Seattle can get something for 
Barry who they were going to lose for nothing and we get to keep our MLE. We then 
can use our MLE on Blount, Malone, Q or whomever.

Fanatical, yes. But if the Kings can do it, why can't we? We are due for a 
break....
