Re: FW: It's only a matter of time before Iverson departs

Mark - Peja has had a great season and Pierce has certainly been
disappointing at times. Thought you and others might be interested to
know that Peja is presently ranked #2 overall in the Yahoo Fantasy
Team rankings, while Pierce has recently dropped to 11th mostly due to
his FG% and TO's.

Still, I would not trade Pierce for Peja, at least not yet. I truly feel
bad
for Paul and empathize with why he just might be a wee bit discouraged.
While correct in noting that Peja didn't have Webber with him when
he put up these numbers, he certainly has still been nurtured in a stable
environment surrounded with talents like Bibby, Miller, Christie, and Divac
prior to Webber's recent return, Meanwhile, scapegoat Pierce has
in many ways been the biggest victim of the Ainge turmoil as well as
our team's perennial lack of talent/depth during his entire career -
including this season.

It's not easy being double and triple-teamed game after game, year
after year, while realizing no matter how much effort you expend that
your team is going nowhere. Give Pierce a worthy surrounding cast,
a realistic cause, a hope, a reason to go to war night after night, and
no one would do it better. The heart is a lonely hunter and I have no
doubt a reinvigorated Paul could quickly be considered one of the
league's most passionate team leaders by example.

As for the Yahoo Fantasy League stats - the rankings of this particular
league are based on each player's performance in FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS,
REB, AST, ST, BLK, and TO. The more games each plays, the better his
chances for a higher ranking, which is why a player like Kobe (who has
missed 17 games), is only ranked 43rd.

Here is a list of the Yahoo TOP 15 RANKED PLAYERS and a second list
