RE: FW: It's only a matter of time before Iverson departs

I don't think Davis or Welsch fall into that category. Davis has shown
he can be a go-to scorer in the NBA. Jiri is just getting started, but I
don't think he's just a spot-up shooter, or designated defender. He's a
well-rounded player.

I agree that the Stooges made poor choices, but I also think they
actively tried to put pieces around Pierce and Walker who would fit with
their games - in other words, give up the ball, don't expect it back
except for kick-out three-pointers, and defend hard to cover for their
deficiencies on that end. That's how you end up with such prominent
roles for McCarty, Delk, Blount (designated blitzer), EWill (designated
defender), etc.

Mark, I'm not sure that The Three Stooges (Wallace, Papile, O'Brien)
actually
sought out limited role players. I just think they made a lot of very
poor choices
in the draft, free agent market, and trades.

Curious - who would you say we now have (aside from Pierce) who is not a

limited role player? Davis, Welsch, Atkins, Hunter ????????
