Re: [Celtics' Stuff ] who to protect for the expansion draft?
You're right Charlotte won't refuse that deal, but we also won't offer
Why would you give a 1st rounder and cash for them to take Stewart, who
will be a FA next summer and thus can be used in a trade deadline deal?

How do you like the threat that the Cs are going to go for additional

Charlotte a 1st rounder and up to $3M in cash (which they received
the Atkins deal) to take Yogi Stewart and receive almost a $5M trade
in the process. That would be sweet.
Charlotte can turn around and let Stewart go and they make $3M cash
get a 1st rounder to draft younger, cheaper, and cost controlled
the Rookie scale for the next 3-5 years. Win/win for both teams and
for Stewart as there is no way he gets a FA offer anywhere near that
