Mihm hater but still 20/20 not a problem for the guy.

He's already done that, so why is there a question? He's also grabbed 15
rebounds, so there's no doubt he could get 20 in the right circumstances. He's
certainly a better rebounder than Blount, career highs notwithstanding. Blount
is in his (fairly modest) prime; Mihm, not yet. But I'm pretty sure his prime
will/would be at a higher level than Blount's.

I very much dislike Chris Mihm. He is a "stat guy" but not a good player. But
he is more then capable of pulling down 20/20 - in fact he could do that
several games in a row, IMHO. He is actually one of the better rebounders in the
entire NBA - and his scoring ability is more then sufficent to score 20 ppg now
and then - especially if left unmolested on the box.

OTOH - Mihm is not really as good as his statistics indicate he could be. He
has two horrendous flaws in his game.

1) One of the absolute worst passers in the NBA - a flat out awful passer. If
you look at his assists/turnovers per touch he might be the absolute worst.
When double teamed he cannot pass out of it, and so despite his decent post and
scoring abilities he can be shut down. This does not at all fit with Danny's
long term vision. Guys like Brad Miller, Vlade Divac and Chris Webber are all
EXCELLENT passers. Its a mistake to double team these guys they will burn you
with ball movement badly.

2) He is absolutely an awful defender. He fouls people incessantly; he cannot
rotate to play help defense; he does not move his feet well; he misses
rotations and assisgnments; and he gets pushed off the box.

Mark Blount is LIGHT YEARS ahead of this guy defensively. Thats why Blount is
starting now. - its all about the D. Its especially important at the center
spot. A position that even Danny admits its good to have a good defensive
player in.

Anyway defense is why Mihm was sent out of Cleveland - not because he
couldn't rebound or score. He can do both. And defense will keep him either on the
bench or on losing teams. The Celtics don't need Mihm they would be better off
getting a good defender in the offseason - someone in the Marcus Camby mode if
they can't resign Blount affordably.
