You make a good point but if you saw the play it was so obvious that it
was sickening. I understand that a lot of the crowd in Denver stayed in
their seats in such disbelief after the game that some security
concerns where brought up. It's not very often that people don't pour
out of the arena on a weeknight, especially after a loss. The NBA may
have considered this, among other factors, in their harsh penalty. You
don't want to piss off the paying fans. At least the ticket holders in
Denver can be somewhat pacified.
