RE: the Hunter option

Hunter looked just like you imagined Gene. He had some tough rebounds,
especially one one-handed rebound which he snatched from a crowd just
before being pushed out of bounds. He had several offensive boards and
a couple nice dunks. His footwork is better than most of our big guys
already if you ask me. At the end of the game, he anticipated a pass
attempt and almost made a helluva play. He leaped to knock down a pass
but could not control it but it showed that he has some defensive
instincts also. He runs the floor well too.

His weakness last night, though he's hardly alone as the culprit, was
that he didn't knock down his free throws.

Subject: the Hunter option

I'm not surprised at what Hunter did. "It's not Summer League," quoth
coach O'Brien. No, it's not but Hunter played a full game and performed
just like it was summer league. I would like to know if Ainge told the
new coach to play Hunter. For some reason he did and now it screams out
for an explanation of why he wasn't played like this as early as
December. What were they thinking?

Well, having said that, I'm working off stats. How did Hunter look?
