Re: [Celtics' Stuff ] Cavaliers are Must See TV.
JB,
No one likes a maverick or someone who is cocky enough to think they know
what is going on. That is why the press doesn't like Ainge. It is like Pitino.
Ainge threatens the Boston sports power structure if he is to succeed. If Danny
succeeds, then Danny will repesent the Boston Celtics, like Pitino and Red did
if he doesn't already and they don't like that. The Boston press are the true
Fellowship of the Miserable....

the effort from his team.
From the situation the Celtics are in now, it seems a shame that Danny
Ainge didn't go the way of his pal Larry Legend and get a coach that
would implement his style.
Did you catch the phrase from Peter May today: "...Ainge and the
unenlightened cabal that hired him ..." ?
I'm thinking that May and others in the media are finding a little too
much Pitino in Ainge. Is this another Robert Preston, come to town with
plans to start a band?
A low lottery pick would be a very welcome addition to the team, but a
coach and a playing style that works, would be more important.
If Ainge had brought in a true point guard and an offensive
coordinator last summer, to compliment O'Brien; Jimmy might still be
here and the team might again, be right on the heels of the Nets.
Here's hoping that Danny's vision gets implemented and works. He
doesn't have as much time as he thinks. When the media dogs start
barking and scaring away the patrons, even that "unenlightened cabal"
might just take notice.
