Kedrick and Jones...

Yes.
He did very well in the Summer League - and Ainge has gone out of his way to 
back him up. He is the same age as the other rookies with about as much 
potential. Unless he really drops the ball in the preseason he will get resigned.

In the NBA you have talents like Paul Pierce and Walker.. And you have lessor 
talents like Kedrick Brown. Brown with his game needs to be put into the 
right situation on the court to succeed. Marcus Banks can do that for Kedrick. He 
will succeed now , IMHO. He would have done well on a team like the Nets too.

Jones gives you another guy to play at the 3 and 4 spots.. While Kedrick 
gives you some depth at the 2 and 3 spots. They are both the kinds of guys you 
want in a running system. I don't see it as a motivational tatic. Kedrick has not 
played well but the accounts of him I have heard indicate that he is a 
self-motivated guy.
