Re: Draft picks

Yup, another thing I liked was the props it gave to the genuinely good guy he was off the court, which sometimes got lost in too much evil 'Toine on it. Also, and maybe it's seeing Clemens in the series triggering this thought - I'm increasingly thinking that the only way he CAN change significantly at this point is by getting out of Boston. Not because of who's coaching him or who is telling him things as GM or who's on the court with him, but because he's too firmly established an image and a comfort zone of what his role is here and cares too much that any change here would be seen as a sign of weakness and admitting his critics were right. Shades of I don't have to go to camp, I'm an all star if you know what I mean. Doing it with another team, particularly one where he is not, never has been, and never will be The Man is just a lot easier psychologically. Sometimes you need to be kicked out of your rut and given a new reason to prove people wrong.

Best wishes that those fires don't come any closer Doug. Yikes!

, saw an article that I think perfectly descibes the good and bad of the
talented tease that was Walker's time with the Cs

Yeah, it certainly says it well, especially since I was using the phrase
"Good Antoine" and "Evil Antoine" on this very board about two years back.
Antoine deserves his due. He did what he had to do to bring the Cs from the
doldrums to mid-pack. Now we have to go from mid-pack to elite. I hope he does well
in Dallas and don't see how we in Boston can wish him any worse than we wish
such departed icons as The Rocket, Ray Bourque, Carl Everett, Drew Bledsoe,
and Doug Overton.
