Seriously?

{However, I'm still not sure how you can financially justify this trade
for the Celtics. First, there were strong indications that Walker may
have opted out of his contract after this season and hit the
free-agent market. That would've saved the Celtics $14 million next
  season.}

Chad Ford

The above ridiculous notion, to prove his weak point, that the Celtics
aren't saving some short term cash and won't be able to sign a free
agent next summer?
We've done the math. The owners have announced that this trade will
allow them to sign a mid level guy, what do you know that we and they
don't Chad?
If Ford was Antoine's agent/financial adviser, would he be so quick to
allude to walking away from 14 Million dollars? The Celtics weren't
going to give him that much, what other team would ? Only a team under
the cap could even consider it, unless there were to be a sign and
trade.
The difference between Walker's and Delk's minus LaFrenz's and
Welsch's money will be there. They've committed to spend it. How can
that not be a benefit to the trade?
