Trading For A Shooting Guard

Since there seems to be some interest on the Celtics part to cull the
excessive numbers of small forwards and a acquire a big shooting guard,
one wonders what trade possibilities are available to the C's.

For instance, if the Celtics were willing to package Banks and Walker,
you might be able to persuade the financially-restrained Warriors to
give up Van Exel and Richarsdon. But as of this moment, both Walker
and Banks seem safe.

Instead, the Celtics will have to make do with such lesser lights as Williams,
Delk, Brown, and Battie, and perhaps a future lottery protected first.

So, without further ado -- exccept to say the Nets are apparently interested in in Glenn
Rice, which makes sense -- let's go to the trade possibilities, all verified as do-able:

- Eric Williams & Kedrick Brown for Derrick Anderson

Why would the Blazers do it? Cap relief from Williams contract I guess,
otherwise, I don't see Portland interested. Would the Cap Conscious Celtics
want to add not subtract future salary? Don't think so.....

- Eric Williams & Kedick Brown for Shandon Anderson

No thanks, but it works.

- Delk & Brown for Lamond Murray

Well, not the greatest trade.

- Tony Delk, Kedrick Brown & 1st for Larry Hughes

Hughes could play some PG, and is talented, just been positionally lost during his
NBA career, and now is the third man out in Washington. Could flourish in Boston as
a shooting guard.

- Eric Williams & Kedrick Brown for Wesley Person.

Not too bad.

- Kedrick Brown & 1st for Quentin Richardson

Doubt the Clippers would be interested.

- Kedrick Brown & couple of twos for Rodney White

Denver probably not interested.

- Tony Battie, Eric Williams & Tony Delk for Eddie Jones

Miami seems to want to keep their team together, but perhaps if things go bad....
Then agian, Celtics aren't likely to want to pick up another MAX contract.
