It's Time To Go After Shareef

With rumors linking Rasheed Wallace to Dallas blazing strong, the next player
on the Celtics procurement list should be Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who would
fit in nicely between Baker and Pierce in the Celtics frontcourt. Actually small
forward should be the position for him, as it would give the team a big
lineup for a change. And another scorer too, something the Celtics definitely
need, with their paltry 91 points per game average. A Fast-breaking club
averaging 91 points - if that's not conundrum, then what is.

And Rahim must surely be there for the taking, as the Hawks have to realize
they need to gut the team and rebuild from scratch.

But do these clubs match up in a trade?

Possibly not.

What the Celtics have an excess of: centers and small forwards, the Hawks
are similarly endowed.

Atlanta instead needs a star, a point guard, and a shooting guard.
I'd have no problem trading Banks in a Shareef deal and then going after one of
the Sonics points, but Ainge wouldn't likely do that.

So, perhaps the Hawks could be interested in something else like cap space.
In that case, a Williams, Mills, draft pick, and either Brown or Welsch
deal would cap work

Whatever, here's hoping Ainge pulls off a Big, Not-Battier-trade.
