The Celtics Aren't Signing Mourning With The Exception

Perish that thought right away people, it's not happening because:

1. Mourning isn't signing for just the exception. He wants a bigger
contract via a sign and trade.

2. The Celtics aren't taking the luxury tax hit right now. Perhaps
in the future when they're more competitve, or the Cap situation is more

favorable, or a free agent signee will ensure championship contention.

3. Miami would like to get something in return for Mourning.

However, it doesn't mean they can't do a deal for Mourning, and that
could
happen. Miami also would like to move out Brian Grant and Eddie
Jones. So, how about a Walker - Baker - Battie - Williams et al. deal
for those three?
Unlikely, but it would be quite a shakeup and some lineup:

C - Mourning
PF - Grant
SF - Jones
SG - Pierce
PG - Luke Ridnour
