I'll chime in with Dan here to an extent.  Perhaps the difference that anoys 
some is the difference between, "Antoine shouldn't shoot as many 3s, and we 
need a center" versus "This team sucks."  Maybe I have no trouble with people 
pointing out the team's weaknesses, but not with conclusory statements like, 
"They stink.  OB stinks."  But if you want to point out Antoine's 3 pt % as a 
contributing factor the the team's mediocrity, who's to argue?
