Just had a good look

Hi,

I just had an opportunity to take a good look at a lot of the players
who are going to be drafted tomorrow... Compiled this list... Some shock
omissions from my top 29 to be sure, but, hey, its just my feelings. Not
my expected order for them to be drafted in, either.

Player Best Worst

LeBron James Magic/Kobe combo Ron Harper
Carmelo Anthony Walker/Hill combo Derrick McKey
Darko Milicic Dirk with Defense Vlad Stepania
Chris Bosh among KG / Duncan Jon Bender
T.J. Ford Kidd/Iverson combo Brevin Knight
Dwayne Wade Mitch Richmond Anthony Peeler
Kirk Hinrich Sam Cassell Howard Eisley
Mickael Pietrus poor mans MJ Tariq Abdul-Wahad
Jarvis Hayes Allan Houston Eric Piatkowski
Aleksander Pavlovic Taller Ray Allen Ron Mercer
Marcus Banks Baron Davis Keyon Dooling
Mike Sweetney Elton Brand Lite Gary Trent
Chris Kaman Rik Smits Joel Przybilla
Reece Gaines Penny Hardaway old Ron Harper
Nick Collison Troy Murphy Michael Bradley
Maciej Lampe poor mans Dirk poor mans Garrity
Kendrick Perkins Eddy Curry-lite Olumide Oyedeji
Zarko Cabarkapa didn't see much of him but slot fits here
Boris Diaw more assertive Joe J poor mans Joe Johnson
Luke Ridnour smarter White Choc Dan Dickau rookie
Ndubi Ebi better Jerome Williams Just another lightweight tall
David West Brian Grant type Lawrence Funderburke
Travis Outlaw Lamar Odom Darius Miles of 02-03
James Lang The expected O. Miller Oliver Miller II
Zoran Planicic Euro Magic Johnson poor man Lamar Odom
Carlos Delfino next Manu Ginobili just another swingman
Brian Cook Healthy Pervis Sam Perkins lite
Mo Williams Mike Bibby-lite Miles Simon
Troy Bell Speedy Claxton deluxe Keyon Dooling lite

The omissions with NBA Draft.net predicted positions

Sofoklis Schortsianis (19) - best: Karl Malone very-lite .. worst:
Mutombo without the defense
Zaur Pachulia (21) - I just dont like the look of him - far too awkward
Josh Howard (26) - Prefer a flyer like Bell or Mo Williams
Jerome Beasley (28) - Prefer the other of Bell or Mo Williams

Out of the guys in the bottom 9 of 29 I wouldn't mind seeing us take Ebi
or Outlaw or Lang at 20. Would actually show that they have a plan in
effect and I wouldn't blame Jim O'Brien if he didn't give them major
minutes next season. Likewise with Perkins. So long as they weren't left
to rot (eg. Kedrick Brown most of the first two years).

Likelihood of trade - Quite Possibledepending on what other teams are
offering for Antoine. Would not be surprised to see a trade involving
Tony Battie or Tony Delk. Something surprising - with the Celtics
purportedly looking at drafting Marcus Banks *and* looking into signing
Mateen Cleaves imho there has to be a trade involving Tony Delk on the
table. His value will never be as high as it is right now as he just had
a tremendous playoffs. Makes me believe that the purported Delk + 20 to
NJ for Rogers + 22 is really on the table [Nets looking to get a quality
backup to Kidd and a 3rd SG backup] or a similar trade. If this were to
go down then expect the Celtics to take Perkins at 22 (financially
speaking better to get him at 22 instead of 20) while also adding a
solid forward prospect while the Nets would snatch up either Carbarkapa
or Planicic.

Cheers,

John
