Re: Latest ESPN.com mock draft

I really dislike these Ford/Katz combo mock drafts. Why not just let them do
their own?.....

I think the Banks moving up before the 16 is just hype. Who would draft a
player they haven't even worked out? What if he isn't as tall as they thought,
etc. or had an attitude about a place? Remember, it was just two days ago that
Pavlovic was the riser (although he still may be with Pavel dropping out). I
really think the Sonics are trying to put the scare into the Cs or Magic. I
think they will take Ridnour regardless of the strength issue (How much do you
really think Steve Nash can lift?). Barbosa is the logical second choice. I think
the "Barbosa is sliding because of the language issue" is really bogus. How
much talking is really necessary during the game? The guy would have to be a
real bonehead to not be able to learn enough words to play. Haven't these guys
ever played ball with Hispanics before? Plus, being a younger, developmental
player he would have plenty of time to learn the language as he developed (But
if they let him slide to 23 as they do in this mock, they are really
downgrading him).....

First, Sofo is sliding, now he is rising. Amazing what a workout with a team
that have good PR. However, I still like Sofo and hope the Cs get him. In
fact, it would be likely that one of Ridnour or Barbosa would be available at 20
if things fell out for 16 and above like this mock does. Sofo or Ridnour at
16, tough decision. And what happened to us taking Capakarpa?..

One final thing, the Celtics leaking machine hasn't been this good since the
80s. I mean, we are part of every trade rumor and are interested in drafting
practically every player. I think Danny has been successful in confusing
everyone (especially Chad Ford and Katz) with his intentions and has become a player
in every trade scenario. Good job!....
