Jameer Nelson

OK, I have not seen this guy play, and I'm not a fan
of the "midget point guard," as someone here once
colorfully coined the phrase. But I keep reading that
Nelson is the best pure point guard in the draft and
has a sturdy, NBA body - from the pictures I've seen
he's sort of built like Damon Stoudamire. Chad Ford
basically says that if TJ Ford is a top pick at a
shade under six feet, there's no reason Nelson can't
be.

So my question: as Egg pointed out, every one of the
top prospects in this "year of the point guard" has
some knock against him. Right now it looks like Boston
is leaning toward Banks, who sounds like a great
penetrator and solid defender but may not be much of
an outside shooter or natural distributor. And,
there's suspicion Banks may be closer to 6 feet than
his listed 6'2.

So, if Nelson is the purer point, and if just a tad
smaller than Banks (listed at 5'11, 190 vs Banks'
probable 6'1, 200), do you consider taking Nelson at
20 - or swapping picks with LA, taking Nelson at 24
and adding a high second-rounder to the mix? Is Banks
really better than Nelson? From the way the scribes
tell it, a year from now he could be a lottery pick.
