Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I was talking about actually
experiencing the frenzy first hand, not reading about it in a newspaper over
a thousand miles away.
It's a different feeling when you're hearing about it from afar. When you're
in the stadium, like Mark was, or in the arena, or even actually living in
the city during a Championship season....well, that's just about as good as
it gets. I've only experienced that twice.

I've never lived in Boston. My mother was born and raised in Lynn. I used
to visit my grandparents at their home in Lynnfield when I was young.
Although I lived on the East coast, I was too young to appreciate the Celtics
wins in the 60's. By the summer of '74 I was already halfway across the
country.
NBA coverage was never great in Kansas City and was almost nonexistent
after the Kings left town. The Internet was in it's infancy. I was young
and poor.

But hey, things change. I'm not so young anymore and I have a few more
resources at my disposal. Plus I'm lucky enough to have a husband who loves
sports (although he's really a college sports guy) and loves to make me
happy. If the day ever comes, we will be there in Boston to enjoy it. No
doubt about it.
