Instead, we have Vin Baker...

This is from ESPN Insider, which looked at five Western Conference teams
that may be contemplating a trade. They discussed the Sonics, and had this
to say about someone we all know and, well... know...

The Sonics have the silver bullet when it comes to trade talks. They have
Kenny Anderson <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=393> ,
a $9 million a year point guard, sitting on the bench. Anderson is in the
last year of his contract, making his trade value as high as just about any
all-star in the league.

Teams like the Heat, Pacers, Bucks, Raptors, T-Wolves, Warriors, Grizzlies
and Wizards would bend over backwards to get their hands on him. Not only
does Anderson have the ability to help a team in the playoff hunt right now,
he almost guarantees that it'll be a player in the hot 2004 free-agent
market.

Decent low-post veterans like Brian Grant
<http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=2631> , Lorenzen
Wright <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3116> , Kurt
Thomas <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3012> , Danny
Fortson <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3180> and
Antonio Davis <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=2143>
or young studs like Kwame Brown
<http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3511> , Stromile
Swift <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3401> ,and Tim
Thomas <http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3170> are
there for the taking. All Walker has to do is make up his mind.

I doubt the Sonics do anything, simply because they want to use Kenny's
salary slot to make a run at Jason Kidd. But that's the kind of value Kenny
Anderson has. And Wallace turned him into Vin Baker. As I've said many
times, that alone should be enough to get him fired.
