What I'd do

Hi guys,

I wrote yesterday that the Celtics need to do some moves to get the players around Walker and Pierce to improving the team dramatically.

This is what I would do;

1 - Phone Portland. If they're still interested in Kedrick Brown you move him and Shammond Williams (with possibly a draft pick next year, not this year) for McInnis and Randolph.

That gives the Celtics a much improved rebound look.

Get rid of all our upcoming free agents except for McCarty who is a good 11th or 12th man for this team. He doesn't need to play major minutes, but he is excellent for the chemistry of this team.

In the draft you select Rickey Paulding out of Missouri and with the latter pick you take one of the point guards, probably a guy like Troy Bell.

You go for Corey Maggette for the exception. Then you fill out your roster with as many of these ten players as you can get.

Lee Nailon
DerMarr Johnson (if recovered)
Tyrone Hill
Dan Gadzuric
Chris Andersen
Donnell Harvey
Loren Woods
Stephen Jackson
Speedy Claxton
Jimmy Jackson

Hypothetically the Celtics are able to pick up- Lee Nailon, Dan Gadzuric, Donnell Harvey, Jimmy Jackson. That gives the Celtics a roster of;

C - Tony Battie - Zach Randolph - Dan Gadzuric - Vin Baker - Walter McCarty
PF - Antoine Walker - Tony Battie - Zach Randolph - Vin Baker - Donnell Harvey - Walter McCarty
SF - Paul Pierce - Antoine Walker - Lee Nailon - Eric Williams - Donnell Harvey - Walter McCarty
SG - Paul Pierce - Rickey Paulding - Jimmy Jackson - Tony Delk - Eric Williams
PG - Jeff McInnis - Tony Delk - Troy Bell

What do you think that team would look like on the court?

Just my 2 cents worth.
