Look For The Celtics To Sign Wallace To An Extension

Despite the abundant mismanagement, Wallace will likely be inked to a
new deal.

The facts are:

1. Celtics ownership doesn't have a clue, or as Bob Ryan says:

Ryan's early assessment of Wyc Grousbeck and the new Celtics ownership
is not much better. "They are naove people," he states, "They always
talk about the Celtics that were, not are. The tradition is dead.
Outside of Boston, no one cares that that the Celtics won a title 16
years ago."

2. Wyc et al. have already come out and said they're planning to sign
the ineffectual trio to an
extension.

3. The C's will once again make the playoffs, more a factor of how
crappy the East is,
than a byproduct of the Celtics play, but nevertheless, playoffs be da
playoffs,
they're possessed of an intrinsic value, and even an early first round
exit won't
have much of an effect.

4. The two draft choices, Kedrick Brown, and the $2 million trade
exception will be sold
to ownership as offering the Celtics the ability to draft/trade for that
special player,
who will propel the team to the next level, and the gullible gulag will
believe it.

So Wallace is here to stay for a couple of more years at least. But I
hope I'm wrong,
as there's that guy hanging out in Naples looking for a job.

PS: I hear ol' Worthless and Papoose really like Carmelo Anthony from
Syracuse.
