RE: All-star madness

** That would be an understatement. Last night TJ reverted to the "I can't
shoot to save my life" TJ we saw last year.
It's still fun to watch him run circles around the defense, but he isn't
quite as effective as when he's picking his shots and making a fairly decent
percentage of them.

 imagine a Toine for Gasol
and bad contracts deal with Memphis. You'd have a long power forward in
Gasol, who scores with efficiency, rebounds and blocks shots; you'd have
Pierce who could take advantage of the double teams Gasol gets in the post;
and you'd finally be able to insert a real point guard into the offense
since you'd no longer have to plan around one player who wants to play power
forward on one end of the floor and point guard on the other.

**Depending on who you listen to, Gasol may just be available.
I don't see him getting double teamed in the post all that often. He gets
lot of his points on fast breaks and cuts to the basket, not exactly
something you see a lot of in the Celtics offense.
But he's much more likely to pass up an open shot than to take a bad one,
thus his high FG%.
He also doesn't play much defense, but Harter might be able to hide him in
his defensive scheme somewhere.
Of course, with Gasol comes his hordes of Spanish fans. If you think people
around here make excuses for Antoine or Baker, just wait. These people think
that the World revolves around Pau. He never has a bad night. It's always
the coaches fault.
