on and coming off the medication, but not well when medicated and not well

An interesting suggestion, because that is how he has looked to me - not
like the problem is the laziness he's been accused of before, so much as
having to fight just to move. I was thinking in terms of early stages of
arthritis, but this makes sense. I think he was diagnosed with depression
in Seattle and may well be on some med.
