re: Why Ray's Wrong (again) about a Kidd trade

How am I wrong, when I said Ainge would make an offer?
I never said New Jersey would take it. What I said was if the Celtics
make the Best Offer, then NJ would do it. Similar to the Mavs making the best
offer for Walker. With NJ in blow-up mode, I don't think trading a player
within the division or conference is going to matter as much as securing the
greatest amount of talent.

Now, whether the Celtics can put together a better offer than the other teams,
that part is questionable. San Antonio certainly has a leg up on the
competition; Utah with about $30 million in Cap Space, also
could take on much of NJ's bad contracts and provide a quality point
guard and players in return. The Clippers have cap space and talent
and need a PG too.

And if Pierce can co-exist with Walker, I'm sure Kidd won't be a problem.
