I don't know about "bashing," but there has been some justified
criticism of Paul, as the season unfolded, with those games where he
went like, 0-6, in the 4th Q, with 4 turnovers, kind of thing and then
blamed his teammates for not being "tough enough," and/or, "depending
on him too much."
There has also been O'bie "bashing" for not understanding how to run
an offense, or manage a team in the closing minutes of close games and
Ainge "bashing" for the trade and not understanding that a team needs a
point guard to run a fast break and introduce a new offense.
We are fans and we "bash," when we see things we don't like, that look
like they can be fixed. I've never heard anyone bashing players of
limited skills, who give maximum effort.
I suspect, with all of the other problems, injuries included, if
O'Brien can keep the team focused on defense and Paul can continue to
blend his scoring skills with better decision making and better
anticipation of the double and triple teams, we will be a .500 team and
make the playoffs.
I did not see last nights game, but it would seem that Jiri Welsch has
justified O'Brien's faith in him as a starter and Ainge's insistence
on including him in the trade.
Any feelings whether he could be moved over to the point, so that
Jumaine Jones could get a look?
We need a point guard who can run the break and feed the post. I've
seen enough of Mike James to know that he isn't it. That move would,
perhaps, strengthen us at the point and also give us more rebounding.
Someone else wrote that Jones is a natural three point shooter and
would feel very comfortable with O'Brien's preference for playing his
small forward at the corner arc.

Boykins is quite a spark plug. I'm glad he's in the league.
C's really hung tough to pull this one out. It wasn't easy though.
Denver put on quite an exhibition of 3 pointers the final minute. I'm
not quite sure why Vin Baker is getting hardly any playing time the
second half. His shot looks good. Blount on the other hand is logging
big minutes in the 4th. Blount did make a great offensive rebound and
put back at the end of the game. Pierce and Welsch are starting to get
some chemistry. It's amazing to hear all of the Pierce bashing by
Celtic fans. The guy has such a pure shot but is probably double and
tripled teamed more than any other guy in the league. Regardless of the
defensive pressure Pierce had a great game tonight.
