Interesting theory. I thought it was something more along the lines of his
being too drunk to play or practice. Too bad Mike didn't ask him about Baker
(at least not on the air). Not that he would give a straight answer, but you
can sometimes tell a lot from a subtle turn of a phrase - as I think (hope!) is
the case with Grousbeck's omission of Wallace as a basketball decision-maker
for the Celtics. 
All this deciphering of what he meant when he said it makes me feel like a
kremlinologist trying to divine what's going on in the Politbiuro by analyzing
who's standing  next to whom on the Lenin Mausoleum in grainy photos of the
November 7th parade.
