I had to use a cellphone from the Netherlands to call on Friday to the ticketmaster or the celtics ticket phonenumbers... Ticketsale started at at noon (eastern time), so i called at noon... I even couldn't get through for the first 30 minutes or so.. Finally I got through, but had to wait 45 minutes in line.. Then I finally got to order tickets but.... there were no 2 seats next to eachother available anymore..

Well thanks for vindicating the need for my standing in line outside the Fleece waiting for a couple of hours to get a pair. I wasn't sure if it was necessary or if being among the first in line was, but did it just in case as I've someone coming in from our of town. Still wasn't sure as I walked away with them, but now I guess it was.

They probably allocated so that some tickets were available that way and some ONLY available to those at the Fleece out of fairness and to keep people like me from outright rebellion if they'd sold out online before we even had a chance. FWIW, everyone else around me was getting Lakers tickets, so I think games like that are exactly the ones that people made a big push to get.

It's a good sign that ANY tickets are tough to get. Hasn't been that way for a long time. I could get $10 seats game day for most playoff teams up through much of last year.
