RE: Where would Kedrick have gone in this draft?

I agree Kedrick has yet to show if he was a steal or a bust. Hopefully he
will get some more playing time. He has shown flashes but that's about all.
He needs to get much more confident and consistent from the perimeter and
use his athleticism in taking it aggressively to the hoop.

Ha ha ha ha. God, talk about cheerleader central
and wishful thinking. What the scouts would have done to
Kedrick would have been brutal, as the more these players are exposed
during their collegiate careers, the larger the flaws that are exhibited
in the scouts' minds.

Here's what they would have said about Kedrick:

Great athlete, but a bit of a tweener. Lacks the handle to be a
shooting guard and too small to be a small forward. A bit slow
on the uptake, and unlike Koby, McGrady or other super athletic types,
doesn't really have a great grasp of the game. Can hit three pointers,
but has no mid-range game to speak of. Defense is good, though he
seems to have trouble staying with smaller, quicker shooting guards....

Now compare that to the glowing things that were said about the
manifold players that would have been drafted ahead of Kedrick:
the Mings, Williams, Goodens, Nick from Georgia, Maybiner, etc.,
and toss in the fact that Memphis already had Battier,
who plays the same position and had a terrific rookie year.

Interestingly, Leo Papile said Sundov would have been a top 7 pick.
