Re: Blame Jordan!

        Well, I'm a lurker too. No one ever told me that it wasn't allowed.>> Bill

Lurk all you want, Bill Lee. That's no problem. When a guy like Lucas jumps in to
say he's no longer reading the posts because I'm irrational about Pierce, I'm happy to
send him columns from national sportswriters that support my position.

I say "support", because I believe the NBA and many fans are looking at Pierce as the
savior, rather than a guy who can cause great dissention on a team.  I don't hate him;
I want him to get the message that the team wasn't built for his personal gains, and
though I admire his skills, I don't care for his attitude. Plus, his BEST games are
those I find least like basketball. No court vision, occasional defense, tons of
offensive fouls that the refs give him the benefit---a la Jordan---when the drive
should never have been made. Sure, he MAY grow up, or stifle the team. We saw what
Walker's game was like, and his evolution has been slow in coming.

No offense to you, Bill. It's just that when a lurker jumps in to say something about
a poster who has evidence to rock the boat, that's my response. To paraphrase a noted
statesman, "we get the basketball team we deserve". Keep supporting Pierce as the
"leader" of the Celts, and see if you're happy with His Airhead's progress.
