  I must say I agree with Eggy here, although I'm sure I wouldn't have 
written it the same way she did.

  I thought Josh's comments about Simmons column were curious to say the 
least.
And although I don't agree with BSG's picks, he certainly isn't going out on 
a limb on his own.  I've seen all kinds of media picking the Wizards to 
finish near the top, some of them even think they can win the East.
His picks were no more outlandish than the majority of the pundints I've 
seen.
The East, while improved, is still too closely bunched to be able to predict 
with any kind of authority, although I think you have to go with the Nets at 
the top.

Simmons job at ESPN is to inform and entertain, not to push the Celtics down 
the throat of the nation whether he believes in them or not.  He clearly 
thinks the Baker trade made them weaker and he also isn't alone in that 
thinking.

  As far as Egg getting banned from Celticsstuff, she certainly isn't alone.
I left of my own free will, but I know at least one other poster that was 
banned and suspect at least two others were also.  They all had a few things 
in common, they weren't afraid to hold a certain other posters feet to the 
fire when he would go off the deep end about his favorite whipping boy and 
that certain poster accused them all of being Egg because of it and ASKED 
that they be banned.  
It's JB's board, he can do anything he wants with it, but I told him the last 
time he invited me to return that I felt he was letting one poster set the 
tone for the entire board and by running off anyone who had a differing 
opinion simply because they disagreed with the guy it was only going to hurt 
the board in the long run.
JB disagreed, told me he viewed that poster as a highly valued 
contributor....and that was that as far as I was concerned.

Anyway, as I said, Eggy probably was a little over the top in her response to 
Josh, but I think he should have been taken to task for his "If Simmons wants 
to make outlandish predictions, they should be in favor of the Celtics" 
statement.
That was just plain ridiculous.
