As for doing well, depends upon what you call well. 76% as a team, slightly better than the year before and probably lower end of midlevel for the league. You might be thinking of Walker, who paired with Pierce took the bulk of the attempts and did improve a bit, especially in making clutch ones. Prior years I expected 1 of 2 at best with Walker when it was the 4th quarter or a momentum swing. And remembered those misses more than a games worth of made FTs. FWIW, it was one of the first visible signs to me that he had genuinely worked to improve his game over the summer rather than just played around with some friends on the court and called it work.
