I'd like to give my impressions on Kedrick from last night. I've only
watched the first half, so far. But I like what I see.
The kid didn't make any mistakes that I noticed. He went through the roof
on his rebounds (I instant replayed his rebound/take away from Mark Pope a
few times-he just kept going up), had a nice looking stroke on his three and
had a dunk so insane that he about hit his head on the rim. He also had a
nice block.
Now is he an all-star? No. Is he a starter at this point in the
season/carrer? Probably not. But the kid is such an insanely quick/high
leaper. His has physical skills that make Vince Carter look tame. I
wouldn't give up on him yet. I mean how many players in this league get
"OOooos" from the crowd off of rebounds? This kid does. He is just a
physical freak. He will most likely never be this teams star, but I think
he will be a very valuable starter by year three of his carrer, if Obie
gives him a chance. He can be a very good fit for this team, as it's
offense is already dominated by the big two (with Baker it could be three.)
I also think that pairing him with Baker, off the bench, would be nice. If
you double Baker with his man, just let him go to the hoop and have Baker
find him for dunks, etc. Or pop the three, everyone says he has the range
for.
But I maybe wrong. Guess we'll see.

Come on, there have to be more listers out there who saw the game last
night. Get your noses off the grindstone and give us some details!
Based on what has been posted so far...
Encouraging first outing for Baker. If even Ray is saying good things about
him, he must have looked good. If he plays well and FITS IN (that's a huge
key), then maybe Wallace lucked into a winning lottery ticket (not the
draft
lottery kind-he'd just screw that up).
Don't know what to think of Delk and Shammond. Mixed reports. Sounds about
like what we expected.
Discouraging on Kedrick. Sounding more and more like a big Oh-fer in that
draft.
Sundov and Travis Knight mentioned in the same sentence... not what I
expected from a top-seven pick...
