Hi - just to poke a thumb in everyone's eye, I thought
I'd point out the numbers being put up by former Celt
Mark Blount, who's now starting at center for Denver:
26 MPG, 7.7 ppg, 3 RPG, 1.3 BPG
3 rebs in 26 minutes a game doesn't sound like it'd help the team all
that much. Though, of course, Blount can be an effective shotblocker,
and his points so far this season look better than they did when he was
with the C's. Let's not get into a Mark Blount lovefest just because
he's starting for what will surely be one of the worst teams in the
league, and doing pretty well. he also had that good season two years
ago, but reverted into a big stiff last year. He can probably be an
effective NBA big man -- every other year.
