Smokin' Blount

Hi - just to poke a thumb in everyone's eye, I thought
I'd point out the numbers being put up by former Celt
Mark Blount, who's now starting at center for Denver:

26 MPG, 7.7 ppg, 3 RPG, 1.3 BPG

Meanwhile, the man who replaced Blount on Boston's
roster, Bruno Sundial, is doing this:

10.5 MPG, 2.5 ppg, 1.5 RPG, 0 BPG

And Tony Battie is doing this:

23 MPG, 6 ppg, 5 RPG, ZERO BPG

Just to be really insulting, notice that Dan Gadzuric
- whom the Celtics could have drafted had they not
traded away their pick in the Joe Johnson deal - is
second among all rookies with 6.7 RPG and tied for 5th
in the LEAGUE in blocks, with 3 per game. All this in
just 22 MPG.

Anyway, Dan F. would rightly point out that stats
don't mean much 3 or 4 games into the season, but I
still thought it was worth pointing out, given our
collective bemoaning of the Celtics' rebounding and
defensive woes.
